How is Germany Fighting Corona Virus?

Corona Virus has killed thousands of people around the world. It might be the last pandemic that will happen on Earth. This is the first time that the entire globe is coming together as one man to fight this threat against humanity. The virus doesn’t follow the border, doesn’t see class or race, rich or poor. While we prepared our nuclear arms against other nations, we forgot the real enemy out there. An enemy who is a threat to the entire humanity. The best way to fight this enemy is by a global togetherness.  Germany is one of the countries with very few fatality rates since it was one of the first nations to act against this enemy. German Govt has rolled out different programs to protect their people from this pandemic. They are creating a new path for other countries to follow. The story Germany is trying to tell the world through their preventive and curative measures is fascinating. To name a few – corona taxi, doing maximum number of tests, increasing medical faci...

Pandemic "Break the chain"

I don’t know if this is a good time to start my old habit of writing a diary. Everywhere there is panic and death. When I was young, I always wondered how a war would look like and why is it bad for people who are not part of the war. The situation around me is getting worse day by day and we are facing war-like scenario. A war that is not fought amongst humans but a war with microbes and humanity.  There is a disease that took thousands of lives over the past few months, and it is still spreading and creating more number of deaths. Every Nation, Religion, Community, and Individual is facing this threat. To date, the World Health Organization hasn’t developed a vaccine for this disease. The number of deaths that took place around the globe is far more than the number of people who recovered. However, is it time to worry? Should you panic? Do you want to run and hide?  You could say “YES”, and support all the above questions. Well, I would call you a coward though. It...

The rising tension between Iran and the US.

For the past couple of months, we have been hearing about the rising tension between the US and Iran. When did all this start? Does the US fear Iran? The United States is trying to put maximum pressure over Iran to make them come to the negotiation table. However, Iran is adopting a maximum resistance policy. They will reject all the decisions put forth by the US. One of the actions taken by the US government was to put a sanction on Iran. This action which has been undertaken by the US government has caused a lot of issues globally. India, as well as many other countries that were importing a huge amount of oil/petroleum, cut down their import rate to zero percent recently. The oil price in India has increased due to this issue and it created similar issues in several other countries which had a high oil import rate. This tension between the US and Iran can have a huge impact on India if we do not take proper measures. India has to find an alternative partner to do oil...

Hey Mom

I was on my couch watching TV with my favorite show on and my cereal resting on my lap. Few spoon into my cereal, i figured that it needed more sugar so i got up and made my way to the kitchen to fetch some. On the way my phone started ringing and i felt too lazy to attend the call since it was a Sunday morning. So i ignored the call and added sugar to my cereal. I made my way back to the couch and sat back down with a sigh of relief. A few minutes into the show the phone rang again, with a grunt, I got of my couch and answered the call with an annoyed tone and asked "Who the hell is this?". There was no reply for a few seconds until a voice, soft tone, lady like voice asked "Is this Jerry?". I lowered my voice and answered politely, "YES". Then she gave me the most horrific news I have ever heard, "I am here on the Overseas Highway calling from your mother’s phone and she has met with a car accident, please do come over here quickly". ...

What was the first aviation accident?

We cannot learn without making mistakes. Can we? Sometimes we try very hard to avoid them, but as Murphy’s Law states, “whatever can go wrong, will go wrong”. However, through mistakes, the aviation industry has learned and progressed. If you want to know when the first fatal aviation accident took place, you have to go back to the 18th century. The first untethered human lighter-than-air flight was designed by the Montgolfier brothers on November 21, 1783. This was an eye-opener to many scientists back then. Many experiments were carried out with balloons, and these led to the discovery of different types of balloons such as hot air balloons and gas balloons in the same century. However, it was not considered safe for humans to  board these balloons, and, therefore, the first crew onboard these balloons were a cockerel, a duck, and a sheep. The flight lasted for more than eight minutes and it landed safely. As years went by, people started using these balloons to c...

A Century To Complete - Sagrada Familia

Can a project take more than a century to be completed? Well, some projects do take a century to get over. Sagrada Familia is one of those projects that has taken more than centuries to be completed. It is one of the best-known structure of Catalan Modernisme, attracting over three million visitors annually to Barcelona, Spain. Antoni Gaudi, an architect who is also called by the name "The God's Architect" started the project in 1882. Gaudi was a very religious person, and all his works were infused with a sense of spirituality that reflected the natural world and the God. Sagrada Familia was Antoni Gaudi's most significant work, with this project he was able to take spirituality to a new level. He worked on this project until his death in 1926. This project came to a stop soon after his death. He was not fortunate enough to complete what he had started. Surprisingly, Gaudi knew this truth. He knew that he wouldn't be able to complete this project during his lifet...

A Story on Singapore

Cleanliness Is a good habit but why don’t we follow it. It should be everyone’s dream to keep the earth clean and green. The story starts in early 1960s. During this period Singapore was considered to be one of the world’s filthiest cities and disease prone. Singapore was overcrowded, they had poor infrastructure, high rate of unemployment, limited industries, lack of housing, slums were increasing day by day. They didn’t become the Singapore that is today in just one night, they have tired for many years to reach where they are right now. It was former President Lee who drove the place to cleanliness, he showed the people of Singapore how it feels to be clean and have good sanitation. When the citizens of Singapore started seeing the advantages of keeping our surrounding and city clean, it became their habit. Their journey began by caring for the nature we inhabit. One of the earliest campaign was the launch of the Garden City, it was a vision by the former Prime Minster Lee Kuan Yew ...
